In- House Production 2019

Following last year's rep productions of Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet, we are delighted to announce the in-house production this year is The Tempest, Shakespeare's masterpiece of forgiveness, generosity and enlightenment in the beautiful surroundings of the Museum in the Park, Stroud.

Told by a ragtag crew of fishermen (and women. fisherpeople?), this production is sure to delight the whole family. The production will be directed by Kate Raw, whose previous work includes productions with the Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand, Foot in the Door Theatre, Wise + Wayward Theatre, Cuckoo Creatives, StormCloud Arts & Theatre, among others, and has a long list of Shakespeare's works that she has directed, including As You Like ItThe Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, Much Ado about Nothing, Macbeth, and Love Labour's Lost

Whereas last year's productions (and the festival!) were facilitated by 5VP in conjunction with South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, this year, the production is solely 'in-house'. Auditions took place on January 2019, and we now have an excellent cast of both professional and community actors.
