Hi All!
I'm thrilled to be writing to you as the new Festival Director of Stroud Shakespeare Festival. Alan Butler (last year's director) has been tremendously helpful, and we wish him well on his new theatrical adventures in London! We have been busy bees putting everything in place for next year, and are now ready to start accepting applications. The first year of the festival was a success - and I hope to build on Alan's foundations, increase the number of performers, and work with the fantastic team at the Museum in the Park to bring you four days of 'mirth and merriment'. I am already preparing for auditions for the festival's in-house production of The Tempest (you can find audition details under 'Take Part') and contacting lots of inspiring companies to bring Shakespeare's work to Stroud. Soon we will be looking for front of house volunteers, and various other roles within the festival. We'll keep you updated as we go!
